Exploring disused, derelict and abandoned buildings is dangerous and stupid.

There are hazards in all sites of this nature, including biohazards, asbestos, open silos, big drops, confined spaces, unsafe floors and ladders to name a few. If you enter any places of this nature, your escapades could result in serious injury and/or death.

Most things in life involve some element of risk, but proper preparation and common sense help reduce the risks.

When exploring we spend time finding out about the location and it's associated risks,

We take protective equipment (such as a respirator, good torches, gloves, strong boots, first aid kit),

a high standard of climbing skills, other explorers who we know are of the same standard or better,

and above all the sense to turn back if things get too dangerous.

Entering disused premises should only be done with the landowner's permission.

If you hurt yourself, you are to blame, so take responsibility and don't even think about trying to sue the owner,

you'll just make yourself look stupid. You made the decision, not them. Urban Explore does not condone breaking and entering, stealing or damaging of property. If you can't get into a building without breaking in, leave it.

If your intention is to set fire, spray paint or in any other way vandalise somebody else's property then just hope

you don't run into one of us whilst doing it.

Further information on buildings documented on this website will not be provided, so don't bother asking.

This is to protect both the building's and this website - we cannot be held in any way responsible for your behaviour, injury or death.
